From top
pulldown VIEW menu click {Rulers} Option on. Now go to exact center of
the image if your image size is 300 x 300 the center point will be 150 x
150. It is necessary to select center of the image
otherwise you will face problem in making tile able background.
Now without moving your hand click five time yes I mean it 5 clicks from your left mouse button, don't worry about the look. When you try with your own colors combination and you select some really dark color for the foreground you might end up with nothing but like a solid color flood fill. No problem, you will be surprised when the final result will come.

I am
sure, I am not taking lot of time to explain everything.
Now start the final phase of the tutorial. Keep your image center intact and in other words after five left mouse button clicks without moving your hand, no relaxation, full excitement, click only once yes only once the right mouse button. BRAVO you did it! Your satin background is ready. You are done. You are through and me too. Isn't it exciting and very very simple.
| Now, why
I insist on a particular size of the image, only reason is, that, we
selected Crumpled Paper 2, the size of that texture is 128 x 128, to
keep it as tile able. If you will going to select any other size, you will, I am sure, as I face
difficulties in the beginning, will be end up in a non tile able
image. So, when you will select any other texture image, your new image
should be the same and/or double of the original image.
If you don't have Crumpled Satin Click here to get it. A ZIP file is also available to download from sample page containing several readymade satin background. Your comments and suggestions are very valuable to me - specially on this tutorial - this is my very first tutorial. Please do send me an e-mail at webdecor@hotmail.com whether you like it or not. |
